- Information you provide via contact forms, email or booking enquiries
I only collect information that is necessary to provide my services, manage bookings or fulfil book orders. In most cases, you provide this information directly when you contact me, make a booking or place an order. Occasionally, if I am contacting an organisation about a speaking engagement or author event, I may obtain publicly available business contact details from the organisation's website or other public sources.

I use your information to:
- Provide holistic decluttering services and coaching
- Manage and deliver speaking engagements

Speaking Engagements
If you book me to speak at an event, I will retain your contact details in order to:
- Confirm arrangements
- Communicate about the event
- Deliver the agreed service
I retain booking contact details only for as long as reasonably necessary for event administration. I retain certain business records, such as invoices and accounting records, for legal, tax and insurance purposes.
Book Sales via my Online Shop
When you purchase a book via my website:
- Orders are processed through Payhip, and card payments are securely processed by Stripe. I do not see or store your full card details.
- Ebook delivery is handled by Payhip.
- Paperback fulfilment is handled by Bookvault. When you place an order, Payhip passes the information needed to print and ship your book to Bookvault on my behalf.
When a purchase is made, I can see some basic customer information (such as your name, email address and general location) through these platforms. I use this information to process your order, provide support if needed, maintain business records, and meet legal or accounting requirements. I do not use your information for unrelated purposes or add you to marketing lists unless you have specifically chosen to subscribe.
These providers process your information in accordance with their own privacy policies and the services they provide.
In-Person Book Sales
When you purchase a book from me in person, you can pay by cash or card. Card payments are processed securely through SumUp. I do not see or store your full card details.
SumUp provides me with transaction information for payment records and accounting purposes. If you request a receipt or require support with a purchase, I may collect or use contact details provided by you for that purpose.
I retain any information needed for legal, tax and business record-keeping requirements.
I do not use payment information for marketing purposes or add you to my mailing list unless you have specifically chosen to subscribe.
Email Newsletters
I use Mailchimp to send my newsletters and manage my subscriber lists.
- Separate Lists: My decluttering list and author list are completely separate, so you receive content relating to the topics you have chosen to hear about.
- Relevant Content: My different areas of work may naturally overlap. For example, my decluttering work, personal growth themes and writing may sometimes connect in ways that are relevant to the content I share.
- Strictly Opt-In: I never add you to any list without your consent. You can choose to subscribe through my newsletter sign-up pages or other links I provide.
- Easy Opt-Out: Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can leave the list at any time.
- List Management and Analytics: I use Mailchimp features such as tags and basic engagement statistics (for example, email opens and link clicks) to manage my subscriber lists, understand which content is useful to my audience, and improve future newsletters.
- Data Storage: Mailchimp processes subscriber information on my behalf and may process data outside the UK. Appropriate safeguards are used to protect your information.
- After Unsubscribing: When you unsubscribe, Mailchimp retains a record of your request so that you are not sent future marketing emails.
Coaching Clients
If you enquire about coaching, I may collect your contact details and any information you choose to share about your circumstances and the support you are seeking.
I use this information to respond to your enquiry, arrange sessions, understand how I may be able to help, and provide coaching tailored to your needs.
Coaching conversations may include personal experiences, beliefs, emotions, habits or challenges that relate to your decluttering journey and personal growth. I treat anything you share with care and confidentiality and only use this information to provide my services.
I do not require clients to complete questionnaires or assessments before coaching. Information is shared voluntarily through conversations, emails, phone calls or video sessions. During coaching sessions, I may make brief working notes to help me follow our conversation or remind myself of points to revisit or clarify. These notes are used only to support the coaching process, are not maintained as a permanent client record, and are securely destroyed once they are no longer needed.
I retain basic administrative information, such as your name, appointment dates and relevant communications, for diary management, providing coaching services, and business record-keeping purposes.
Legal Basis for Processing
Under UK GDPR, I process your personal data on the following bases:
- Contract – when providing services, managing speaking engagements, processing book orders, and taking steps to arrange services you have requested.
- Consent – when you choose to subscribe to a mailing list.
- Legitimate interest – when responding to enquiries, managing my business, maintaining client relationships and improving my services.
- Legal obligation – when I need to retain certain information for tax, accounting or other legal requirements.
How Long I Keep Your Data
I keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, including meeting legal, accounting, insurance and business requirements.
- Order and booking records are retained for accounting, tax, insurance and legal purposes.
- Mailing list data is kept while you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, your details may be retained in a suppressed or archived form so that I can respect your request not to send future emails. You can contact me if you would like your information deleted.
- Enquiry emails are kept only for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry, manage follow-up communication and maintain appropriate business records.
- Client contact details, appointment information and relevant communications are kept for as long as needed to provide services and maintain appropriate business records. I do not retain ongoing coaching notes or create client case files.
